Two IP addresses are possible for Modena Hub+ units: one for the wired Company LAN connection and one for the inbuilt WiFi network adapter (default 10.3.2.1). If you’re connected to the Modena Hub+’s local AP, use the second IP address.
Without having to install any software, the Modena wireless sharing system lets you to start or attend a presentation session using only your web browser. A WebRTC competent browser is required for this clientless, web-based service. Chrome 83, Firefox 76, and Edge 83 are compatible web browsers for Windows 10, MacOS, and Linux at the time of writing.
To use this method, open your web browser and type the IP address into the address bar. Your browser will display a security warning if you connect to this Modena unit for the first time and there is no custom HTTPS certificate loaded on the Modena device. This arises because the Modena web server’s default SSL certificate is self-signed.
When the home page loads, participants must type their name (which will be kept for future connections) and the room passcode (if enabled). The passcode will appear on the presenter’s welcome screen as well as any connected participants’ browser/client window.
