The DAP-3410 Outdoor Wireless Access Point is an ideal solution for extending the signal strength and range of your wireless network. Designed for use in adverse weather conditions, this access point can connect to a variety of networks that cables cannot connect. Multiple modes of operation, network management tools, and security features give network administrators more device options to improve wireless device connectivity.
Use of WLAN standard 802.11a/n in the 5 GHz range improves network performance. In addition, two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports (one port supports his PoE) allow you to use wired communication medium. A built-in sector antenna with 15 dBi gain increases the signal in wireless network range. Therefore, the DAP-3410 connects wireless devices such as smartphones and laptops, or joins networks within a certain distance via wireless connectivity.
DAP-3410 supports seven operating modes. In standard mode, a wireless access point (AP) can connect a wide variety of devices. WDS mode (WDS + AP) allows you to extend the range of your wireless network without the need to install a wired backbone. In wireless client mode, the DAP-3410 can connect to existing APs and provide access to network devices connected to 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports. Repeater mode extends the range of your wireless network by eliminating areas with weak signals. WISP mode supports operation as a client or repeater in a wireless operator’s network.
The DAP-3410 supports up to 8 SSIDs, allowing administrators to logically partition the access point into multiple virtual APs within a single hardware platform. Instead of organizing separate networks with multiple access points, the administrator can set up single AP to support multiple applications. B. Public access to the Internet and internal network controls to increase flexibility and reduce costs. The DAP-3410 supports 802.1Q VLAN tagging, allowing multiple SSIDs to segment traffic for better performance and security. DAP-3410 supports 64/128-bit WEP data encryption and WPA/WPA2. Additionally, the access point supports MAC address filtering to control user access and disable SSID broadcast functionality to limit unauthorized access to the internal network. Network administrators have multiple options to control the DAP-3410, including HTTP and HTTPS. For advanced network management, administrators can use SNMP v1, v2c, v3 to configure and monitor access points.
The DAP-3410 uses PoE technology, making it easy to install, especially in areas where power outlets are not available, or wiring is not possible. Additionally, the DAP-3410 can be powered via PoE with connected D-Link cameras (DCS-3716, DCS-6113, and DCS-7110).
